In a fast paced and growing company it can be difficult to keep yourself focused on the core tenets of your business. Sometimes–if all goes according to plan that is–you’re so busy with your business that you end up focused on “doing” instead of “doing right”. While you do want your business to be successful, if that comes at the cost of forgetting what you believe good business to be then you may have a problem.
During one of our summertime contests we asked you to share your best business advice and there was a distinct theme: personal connections. It seems that nowadays when it comes to business the key is making lasting connections with your customers and business partners alike. Perhaps that is why there’s been a distinct rise in social media sites tied to businesses within the last few years. Either way, it’s important to keep your core beliefs in mind as you go about your daily routine. To that end, many companies post their belief structure somewhere visible, to remind them daily of what they are working towards.
The team over here has been expanding and as a result we’ve done some office re-organization to welcome our new colleagues (and because no one wants to spend their day in the scary windowless storage room). We also decided it was high time that we too have our values up for all to see. In typical inFlow fashion what is functional must also be beautiful, so a cork board posted list was not going to suit our needs. Our resident design experts came up with our new wall art/time piece to provide us with inspiration and accurate time keeping everyday while we work.
We’re pretty pumped about it; what do you think?
