Hello, everyone. We hope you’re staying safe and healthy.

We’ve got a lot of improvements and mini features to release this week, so we’ll add some basic categorization so that the list isn’t too long and overwhelming.

General improvements:

Sales and purchase orders:

  •     We added an option to sort pick list locations alphabetically (this should help with batch or lot numbers).
  • Saving orders is now faster.
  • You can now print pick and receiving lists from the web app.
  • You can now share and email orders from the mobile app.

Reports:

  • Items that were ordered and returned are now excluded from the Sales by Product Details report.

Miscellaneous:

  • The web app can now auto-detect which delimiter (comma or semicolon) is used during import.
  • Importing CSV files to the Windows app now happens in the background (just like the web app).

Stuff we’ve fixed:

    • Line items are no longer shuffled out of order after you save a sales or purchase order.
    • We fixed an issue where logos could be cut off if they weren’t square.
    • We fixed an issue that disrupted Public API access after restoring or uploading a database.
    • Showroom password resets for your customers (the people and companies you sell to) will now redirect them to back to your Showroom.
    • Product pages now show newly created pricing schemes without requiring a refresh.
    • Non-admin users can no longer view the Team Member Tracking report.
    • Showroom is now more consistent when using category filters (it won’t reset to show all categories unless you tell it to).
    • Some database transfers from On-Premise to Cloud were showing a Transfer Failed screen, even though the transfers were successful.
    • We fixed a bug where inFlow was basing the unit price of a product on the reorder point and cost.
    • We fixed an export issue where some column values were exported as numbers instead of text.
    • Scanning a barcode directly into the web app only worked if the barcode wasn’t also the Item Name. We’ve fixed that.
    • We fixed a niche issue where shipping a single box in an order with multiple boxes (all containing the same item) would mark multiple boxes as shipped.
    • We fixed an issue that caused the Dashboard to incorrectly shift sales order—only in certain timezones—  one day into the future (inFlow does not approve of time travel).
    • DYMO will no longer error out if you try to print a large order with many labels.
    • We fixed language import (for customizing the inFlow UI).
    • We fixed an issue that prevented you from adding multiple items to a mobile stock transfer.

    Push inventory levels to Shopify

inFlow now offers two-way syncing with Shopify stores: we pull in sales orders into inFlow and automatically update stock levels in Shopify.  This should help to cut down double entry and we’re excited to get this feature into your hands today. We hope it makes this time of remote working a little bit easier for your businesses.

If you’d like to get this set up, just head to the Integrations page in our web app. If you’ve never connected Shopify to inFlow before, our app will guide you through the process. If your store is already connected and you want to activate push, you’ll just need to reauthorize your connection to get things working.

    Early Access: inFlow API

We’re also excited to announce early access to a very highly requested feature.

Our API allows you to build apps or services that connect with inFlow, so you could do things like sync with an ecommerce, accounting, or shipping service that we don’t integrate with yet.

If you’d like to opt in for early access, please email support@inflowinventory.com and include inFlow API in your subject line.

    • We fixed a display issue with the print screen’s Quantity field if you didn’t have the DYMO feature turned on.
    • A few web reports, including the Sales Rep report, Stock Transfer report, and Back Order report, were not loading properly—but they will now!

    • Amazon orders wouldn’t sync if there was no customer name on the order.

    • We fixed an issue for iPhone X hardware (or any iPhone with a notch) that made it impossible to leave the Product Details screen.

    Stock transfers come to mobile!

Stock transfers have arrived on mobile!

The main menu has a new option to Transfer stock, so you can move multiple products from one location to another in just a few taps! And because this is inFlow we’re talking about, this new screen is optimized for barcodes—so you can just scan the products you’d like to transfer.

Give it a try and let us know what you think!

    General improvements:

    • We’ve added a “Scan item” button onto the purchase/sales order screens to make scanning easier.
    • The inFlow Smart Scanner can now accept scans right from the purchase/sales order screen (just use the hardware button along the side to scan an item).
    • When inFlow warns you about a stock change that will cause negative inventory, we now display up to 10 examples (instead of just 1).

    Stuff we’ve fixed:

    • Purchase/sales orders imports without pricing information would fail when the vendor or customer had a default taxing scheme.
    • The customer dropdown menu now loads correctly when scrolling.
    • Improved scanning speed while using our mobile apps.
    • The Customer Last Statement date was only showing null values.
    • Creating a new product while viewing a product with a default location will no longer apply that default location to the new product (it will be blank).
    • If a default customer is set, it is now auto-selected in the web app.
    • If you have a default location, sales rep, and customer set for your inFlow account, these defaults are now used in the web app.
    • Restricting viewing access now properly applies to list views in the web app.
    • We’ve fixed an issue that prevented barcodes from being added to a product after scanning.

    January 7, 2020

    General improvements:

    • You can now add order numbers as barcodes on printed sales orders.
    • You can now exclude out of stock items from appearing in Showroom.

    Stuff we’ve fixed:

    • We’ve fixed a timeout issue where customers would be logged out of the app even if they selected “Remember me” upon logging in.
    • We fixed a bug that caused some imports to skip every other line.
    • inFlow team members who do not have editing rights to create products will no longer be able to create products through the web app homescreen.

Purchase orders and vendors come to mobile

If you’re in the purchasing or receiving department, we’ve designed this update for you!

    • • Here’s the cool new stuff you can do from your phone:
    • • Create and edit vendor information.
    • • View vendor balance and credits.
    • • Create and view purchase orders.
    • • Receive individual products or entire orders.
    • • Receive extra (unexpected) products
    • • Skip the printer and use your phone to review the PO.

We’re excited to get these features into your hands! If you have any feedback on mobile purchasing or receiving, we’d like to hear from you at support@inflowinventory.com.

    November 27, 2019

    General improvements:

    • You can now create new customers or vendors straight from the order screen.
    • You can now create new categories while creating or editing product details.
    • We’ve added a CSV template to web imports to make the process a little easier if you’re just starting out with inFlow.
    • We’ve added an option to Print Barcodes from the Company Settings page.

    Stuff we’ve fixed:

    • We fixed a startup issue in our Windows app, which kept a number of customers from loading it after updating last week. We apologize if you experienced downtime as a result of the issue, and we’ve taken steps to prevent this in the future.
    • We fixed an issue in the Windows app that consumed more memory than was needed.
    • We had issues with the Continue button not working for password resets and the Forgot your password button being unselectable from mobile devices. These have both been fixed. We’re aware that this is still an issue for our mobile apps and are still working on the fix.
    • We fixed a niche issue that caused Work Order Pick Dates to display as 0001/01/01.
    • We fixed an issue with product prices not loading properly while using fixed markup.
    • We fixed an issue where default pricing schemes were not saving properly from the web app.
    • The option to “Log in with Google” has been restored to our Windows and web apps.
    • Filtering locations on the Product List will now automatically update the Quantity column.
    • Legacy Email settings (for sending emails from inFlow) are working again.
