  Mobile sales orders are live!

If you handle sales or any of the fulfillment process at your business, we’ve designed this update to save you time and paper.

Here’s what you can do with mobile sales orders:

• Create and view sales orders (complete with product images)
• Add items to orders by Item Name or by scanning a barcode
• Skip the printer and turn your phone into your mobile pick list
• Mark orders as paid or invoiced

We’re very excited to get these new features into your hands.

Sync your Squarespace orders to inFlow

We’re excited to announce that our new Squarespace integration is live. That means you can now bring orders from your Squarespace store into inFlow, automagically!

General improvements:

  • You can now change the names of products during a Product Details import from the web app.
  • For those in requisitions — our web app can now import purchase orders!
  • You can also print and email POs through the web  app.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • We’ve tweaked how we approach single character searches to prevent situations where certain types of product names (e.g., inFlowPhone X) could be excluded from search.
  • The email field now shows up properly on web purchase orders.
  • Saving an invoice date will now mark a sales order as Invoiced.
  • You can now remove the Unit of Measure from a product, even after it has been set.
  • All the text from the Remarks field now shows up on web sales orders.

Reports come to the web app

Usually when we launch a feature we try to go small so that we can get feedback from customers. But this time our developers were absolutely on fire and they’ve brought not one, not two, but all 38 reports from inFlow Inventory for Windows to the web app.

Just like in the Windows app, we’ve broken them down into four major categories for inventory, sales, purchasing, and admin. You can also add filters and tweak the number of columns so that you can laser focus the reports to show just what you need.

Purchase orders come to the web app

Oh, but we’re not done yet! We’ve also brought purchase orders to the web app, complete with the PurchaseReceiveReturn, and Unstock tabs.

This means that your purchasing team can submit POs from any Mac, Windows (or Linux?) computers they’d like, and your warehouse team can do the same to mark products as received.

We’re really excited to get these new features out to all of you, so please give them a try in the web app and let us know what you think!

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • Unit prices will now change based on the UoM in web sales orders.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • We’ve fixed an issue that kept you from removing a team member’s email address from your inFlow Inventory account if you were already at the minimum number of users.
  • The Clear all button wasn’t showing up properly in certain windows in the Web app, but it’s all clear now.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • Some customers were unable to switch between annual and monthly billing on the subscription page, but no longer! The choice is once again yours.
  • Customers could get stuck viewing a product image on iPhone and Android because the controls for returning to the product view never appeared. Feeling stuck is bad, so we’ve fixed this.
  • We’ve optimized the formatting of the My Trial page for Android users.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • Split work orders were not properly showing product descriptions.
  • Some reports were showing the wrong amount when prices set in a foreign currency were using fixed markup.
  • Clicks on the Order Date filter would switch its value to All instead of opening the drop down list. We definitely think you should be able to choose how to filter order dates, so we’ve fixed this right up.
  • The Unfulfill and Unpay buttons are now the same size in the web app.
  • We’ve changed the controls for removing a team member from an inFlow Inventory account to clarify that you can only remove one team member at a time.
  • We’ve fixed a web app crash that could occur when using Internet Explorer and multiple pricing schemes on a sales order.

Import items and sales orders to the web app

Screenshot of the inFlow web app import interface

Need to upload new information to inFlow without a Windows computer? No problem!

As of today you can import product details, stock levels, customers, vendors, and sales orders straight to the web app. The CSV formatting is the same as inFlow Inventory for Windows, so you can use the same tips for formatting CSVs for import as always.

General improvements

  •  We’ve improved how the web app looks and feels when mousing over or selecting sales order tabs.
  •   We’ve made some tweaks to lists and animations in our mobile apps to pave the way for some exciting new changes.

Stuff we’ve fixed

  •   The mobile app will no longer crash when adding default locations to products (whoops!)

May 14, 2019

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • We’ve updated our mobile scanning to better recognize barcodes entered from the Windows and web apps.
  • Outgoing inFlow emails could be received without a sender name (so it was hard to tell who it was coming from).
  • Outgoing inFlow emails were overriding the customer-written messages with default text.
  • If you were using Safari as your browser, printouts from the web app weren’t as legible.
  • Update messages for Showroom were linking to blank pages.
  • Items in a customer’s Showroom cart will no longer disappear (no more mystery, just shopping).

Print and email from the web app

Happy Tuesday! You can now print and email invoices, receipts, credit notes, and sales orders straight from the web app.

Oh, and one quick tip: you can also use your browser to print straight to PDF. Each browser does it a little differently, but you can usually find the option right on the Print screen itself.

General improvements:

  • We’ve added the option to send Showroom invitations to all of your customers (but we exclude customers who have been invited previously).
  • You can now filter the Online Showroom by category and subcategory.
  • You can now search by the Barcode in the product list.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • Taxes on WooCommerce orders were showing up as a line item instead of being assigned as taxing schemes on the sales order.
  • Deleting DYMO templates could fail if multiple users set it to the last used template.
  • Vendor balance / credit was showing as perpetually negative.
  • Balance / credit was showing as zero if there were multiple currencies on the balance.
  • You can now properly set the currency conversions on the web app.

Stuff we’ve fixed:

  • Fixed a niche issue where specific unit of measurement ratios could cause product quantities to be calculated incorrectly on orders.
